Christian-Integrated Counseling
When Faith Matters in Therapy
Mental-health concerns can affect more than emotions.
For people of faith, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, guilt, shame, or major life transitions can also raise spiritual questions:
Where is God in this?
Why am I struggling despite my faith?
How do I forgive?
How do I find meaning after loss?
How do I reconcile what I believe with what I'm experiencing?
Genesis Center provides space to explore these questions without separating your psychological well-being from an important part of your identity.

What Christian Integration May Include
Depending upon your preferences and clinical needs, therapy may incorporate:
Scriptural reflection
Prayer
Christian perspectives on identity and meaning
Forgiveness and reconciliation themes
Values clarification
Spiritual coping resources
Exploration of guilt and shame
Hope, purpose, and meaning
Faith during grief and transition
These interventions are incorporated only when clinically appropriate and desired by the client.

What to Expect in Christian-Integrated Counseling
Christian counseling is still professional counseling.
Faith does not replace assessment, diagnosis when appropriate, treatment planning, evidence-based interventions, safety assessment, referral, or other standards of professional psychotherapy.
You determine how much—or how little—faith integration you want in your counseling.
